A lakeshore buyer is looking at many things. 

Buyers start with choosing what lake they would like to live on. 

They look at many factors:

• Where is the lake located
• Lake size and number of homes on the lake
• Home values on the lake
• How  busy is the lake
• Can I fish, swim and boat
• What type of weed management is in place
• How are lake levels maintained 

After they have chosen which lake to live on, they are looking at:

• Overall size of lot
• How close am I to my neighbors
• How many feet of lakeshore
• What is the beach area like—is it sandy, how shallow is it, how long of a dock do I need
• What restrictions are there with the DNR
• What is the street side of my property like 

All of these factors are just as important to a buyer as the size and condition of the home.
